Prostate health: advances in screening and assessment

Prostate cancer is the most diagnosed cancer and is the second most common cause of cancer-related deaths in Australian males. There is no wonder that the question of screening, assessment, diagnosis and treatment continue to be a key consideration for general practitioners. There have been significant advancements in technologies available for assessing and diagnosing prostate cancer since the existing guidelines were released in 2015.
