Prue Cormie

Professor Prue Cormie is an exercise physiologist clinician researcher whose work focuses on the application of exercise as medicine in cancer care. Her research program has driven advances in our knowledge of the therapeutic effects of exercise in cancer that has had tangible benefits for people with cancer. Professor Cormie’s work includes 100+ peer reviewed publications which have helped shape 30+ clinical guidelines in cancer care and 5+ policy documents. Professor Cormie has been recognised in the Stanford Elsevier World Top 2% Scientists List for the last 6 years. She is the lead author of the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia position statement on exercise in cancer care and a current COSA Board Director, the founder of EX-MED Cancer not-for-profit organization, and a fellow with Exercise and Sports Science Australia.
