Blended
The blended includes online learning plus a 1 day workshop. Please see upcoming Advanced Life Support Blended ALS courses.
The online learning (to be completed prior to attending the workshop) includes interactive case based eLearning and skills demonstrations that allow you the opportunity to apply your knowledge to reinforce learning.
Typically, the self-paced online learning will take between 6 - 8 hours to complete.
Attendance at the practical workshop will include overview presentation, skills stations and simulation scenarios where you will practise.
The skills stations and simulation scenarios are conducted in a supportive format that promotes teamwork, the use of cognitive aids and the coordination of technical and non-technical skills.
Integration of all resuscitation skills for competency assessment will be conducted throughout the workshop with scenario based assessments performed to assess your ability to manage a resuscitation as a team leader and as a team member. You will be required to perform at least 2 minutes of CPR and use a defibrillator.
Upon completion of both the online learning and the hands on component, you will receive a digital certificate which will state the CPD and Medical College points allocated.
