The ALERT™ Course

The ALERT™ course is a comprehensive educational program covering the assessment and management of acute life-threatening emergencies presenting to urgent/emergency and acute care. 

Delivered using a structured and practical approach, the course is divided into 5 core modules:

• module 1 approach to emergencies: including principles of crisis resource management and ABCDE assessment 

• module 2 airway and breathing: including drowning and respiratory failure 

• module 3 circulatory: including acute coronary syndrome, shock,  acute pulmonary oedema, and pulmonary embolism

• module 4 disability: including DKA, TIA, stroke, concussion, seizures, pain and traumatic brain injury

• module 5 exposure: including anaphylaxis, sepsis, envenomation, and oncological emergencies

Every moment of the ALERT™ course will give you the opportunity to develop a robust theoretical foundation further grounded with practical application through eLearning case studies and skills videos. Each module can be completed at your convenience with webinar recordings available on-demand after the live event.
