Management of mild acne

This accredited eLearning module has been developed to support pharmacists participating in the Victorian Community Pharmacist Program to safely and appropriately assess, manage and treat patients with mild acne.

The course equips pharmacists with the knowledge and clinical decision-making skills required to deliver the Management of Mild Acne Service in Victoria safely, consistently, and in accordance with the clinical protocol, legal requirements, and professional obligations.

Designed specifically for community pharmacists, the training focuses on applying the structured prescribing framework for the management of mild acne in everyday practice. Through guided learning, case-based scenarios, and clinical decision activities, participants will build confidence in conducting structured patient assessments, determining patient eligibility, selecting appropriate treatment and self-care recommendations in accordance with the protocol, identifying red flags and differential diagnoses requiring referral, completing documentation and record-sharing requirements, and communicating effectively with patients to support safe, patient-centred care.
