PTSD in the Military and Veterans

Led by Army veterans and clinicians, Associate Professor Jon Lane FRANZCP, Chief Psychiatrist DVA  and Jon Wauer Senior Mental Health Advisor, DVA, this webinar explores the clinical presentation, diagnosis and management of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in veterans, with a focus on practical strategies for general practitioners and primary care 

Leveraging their combined expertise in veteran mental health, the session includes interactive case discussions, practical tips for supporting veteran care, and guidance on referrals to services such as Open Arms. 

Participants will gain confidence in recognising atypical presentations, managing comorbidities, and supporting veterans through recovery. This activity is CPD-accredited and suitable for GPs, nurses, and allied health professionals working in primary care.
