In recognition of Restart a Heart Day, this special lunch-time Critical Bytes session will focus on the updated 2025 acute coronary syndrome (ACS) guidelines. With guidance on assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients with suspected or confirmed ACS, the updated guidelines emphasize timely reperfusion, risk assessment and individualised treatment approaches with specific considerations for primary care and regional/remote settings. 

We’ll review essential 12-lead ECG interpretation skills and explore the key updates from the 2025 Australian Heart Foundation ACS guidelines. Using clinical case examples, you’ll learn how to identify STEMI, NSTEMI, and high-risk ECG patterns, avoid common pitfalls, and integrate the latest recommendations into your practice.
